I know ive been slack at posting pictures but plan to resolve that once I :-

    clean the car

    take some decent pictures

then work out how to post them on here

I will do it though - its stratos blue pearl and it is a nice clour but as said before its been a carwash car and the paint really would benefit from being detailed.

Thanks Jim! They are 19" 'Seven double-spoke' wheels - standard fitment on the A6 Le Mans and S Line Special Edition models - 8.5J x 19 H2 ET48 - with 255/35/19 tyres. From the looks of the pics you posted up, they are the same wheels you are getting. I'd love to see what they look like on a car with SE suspension by way of comparison, so if you decide to go with the wheels, please do post up some pics!
    Cheers!

Will do MF if I ever get them from the dealer....lol
They're wrapping them in rubber as requested but one at a time and as and when they can ( its a favour job you see )....Probably get them in the next week or so and see what they look like then...I will try to remember to post pics
    MF.

Ahhh Stratos Blue, what a beautiful colour.....same as mine good choice...lol
The swirls / scratches etc really take their toll on the finish, and mine were only inflicted via hand washing so I can guess how yours may be suffering a little! I had a really close look at mine in the sunlight after it was detailed and there's flecks of purples n reds in there believe it or not, like a miniature rainbow!!
Looking forward to pics when you post em Ruggedscot......All the best
    Jim

C'mon guys, lookin for more pics with different set ups / offsets / tyres / springs etc to get as many options as possible

    Nice n shiny too
The gap measure's up as about 35 - 40 mm from top of the tyre to the wheel arch lip.

There is a picture of an American black A6 (has an S6 front bumper, but not the mirror's) in PVW this month, looks like it is on 21" or 22" wheels I'd say and is low, very low to the ground (would have to lose the mud flaps !!) - looks fabulous, if not entirely practical.

I still think I'd really like her lowered maybe 30mm - 40mm for a really aggressive looking stance. TBH she doesn't look as jacked up as I thought she may have done so all in all I'm well pleased.

    Thanks for looking

I will post my car images later on

Quick question how do you keep your exhaust tips clean?
I washed yesterday, made them so shiny, after day of driving I am getting black edges (carbon). Is it normal?

Jim love colour of your car also tints looks good.

thanks for the kind comments bakili

My exhaust tips - keeping them clean....I use no special cleaners / abrasives etc but make sure I wash them thoroughly as part of my wash routine and after nearly 4 years and 77k miles they're still prettry much as they were when they were new

The colour is stratos Blue and the tints were aftermarket!

Re the exhaust tips - on mine I tend to use a bit of metal polish (Autoglym though any would do I'd have thought) a few times per year, in between a rub with a cloth keeps them looking shiny

full of admiration for you guys, especially the scottish contingent, having to deal with the state of the roads up here (bet you dont go near the great western road in Glasgow in those pearlers)

have a box standard 3.0 tdi avant, with a few toys, would have liked a le mans, but for harder suspension and low profiles, see above

C'mon Flying Scot....how about some pics?I finally managed to dig the Autoglym Tar Remover out the garage at the weekend and clean the drivers side. If I carry on at this rate it should be complete by 2015.
If I hadn't been so busy knocking down my house and re-building it over the past year I could have maybe given it a wash and taken some photos.
