Timing chain on 1.4 TSI engine

Have a new 1.4 Golf Match on order to replace my 130 PDI Polo GT. I note that it has a timing chain.....does this mean the end of 40K/4 years cam belt changes?

I reckon the answer is yes Brunel but always be listening for chain rattle as opposed to changing the chain at regular intervals.

Hi brunel the timing chain shouldn't need changing as it is maintance free.

As the guys say there is no change interval for the timing chain. If your having a new 1.4 Golf Match then you shouldn't have to worry about anything for many years.
