Passatt 2002 1.9 tdi se pd purchased off a good friend who had it serviced by the book at his local VW dealership. Anyway he had the usual pollen filter problem, which involved having the CCM and some loom replaced and also the driver side passenger door lock changed. This all happened about 6 years ago, anyway now to my problem, earlier this year I had the brake servo replaced by my local garage after it completely packed up due to water ingress from the pollen filter fault. On recieving the car back I noticed that the boot wouldn't open from drivers door switch, but would work on remote, this went on up til the summer when muggins here went for a dip in g/daughters paddling pool with remote in pocket, this resulted in doors not locking or unlocking using keyfob, windows won't operate, and alarm can't be set although the lights will flash when I press unlock. So I thought go buy new remote from dealership get them to re synch problem over, no chance dealership said remote not communicating with car and wanted £70 for vagcom, said no thanks would do it my self, and now things have gone bad to worse, boot won't open and drivers side passenger door deadlocked.Have checked all wiring to CMM some minor corrosion to some splices, but still had continuity repaired them anyway , tried all wiring in 'A' post nothing obvious and CMM has some small areas of corrosion on circuit board, have tried all the fuses and relays but to no avail am I missing something obvious. Sorry about the long winded write up but I've tried to mention everything that might help.
p.s. door lights, fuel flap and central locking switch on drivers door still working (except to open rear passenger door).
Am tempted to try secondhand CMM off Ebay, but can't for life of me think why it should suddenly pack up. Any help would be grateful, here are my vagcom results.

i have in the past had similar problems, the last of which ended up being a broken wire, but it is poss the CCM has given up the ghost, normal no comms would be a wire or ccm but as you have checked the wiring it can only be the ccm bud

Thanks for the quick reply,I think I'll bite the bullet and get the same part no. CCM of Ebay at least it will prove if there is life there or not. It just seems weird that everything packed up after I got the fob wet. Thanks again.
