Carbon i get offcuts for free, the mirrors are stone chipped and the rear badge has gone like all vw badges with pealing laquer. VW do not sell the badge you have to buy the complete boot lock for £95.

As for ice i have a Ebay special for the time being.

Still to install my JL 6 channel amp and vibe 10" sub. Once they are in i can sort out door speakers.

I did clean it yesturday and took a couple of more pics but i suck at taking photo's.

It's one of the new versions with in built can controller but to be honest the unit has a couple of bugs. Freeview is poor even with a amplified antenna. Radio is almost useless and still trying to send unit back as the gps side has no reception.

The second set of photos are better, but you need a shorter exposure

I was tempted by the ebay specials a while back, but I wasn't convinced about their quality - and sending stuff back struck me as a bit of a faff... Looks good though

The build quality of the unit is very good just the software is very poor saying it's used on a number of there units. Shame realy as they could be a very good unit.

You have got it linked into the pulse wire so it can measure properly, and used a twin Fakra ariel adapter haven't you?

There is no need for an adapter as it connects directly to the unit but there is only one connector. There is also no pulse wire to the unit. With it having a internal can it does not need the trigger wire for the reverse camera either.

On the back of the unit is one ariel slot?

The Passat loom has two ends?

Try swapping the end you use over, I found with my Pioneer unit that one give good reception and the other simply doesn't.

The pulse wire isn't visible in a Passat, you have to either buy a box, (Halfords do one for £59) or hook a wire into one of the instrument binacle pinout's.

I'm pretty sure Rich and Tom had the same issue with the GPS, maybe if you PM they can help. hth.
