My Passat 3 months on

Well had my passat for 3 months now and it looks a bit different lol.

Total mods to date

Carbon rapped rear vw badge
Carbon rapped mirrors
Jom debadge and deplate grille
Altec show n go number plate
FK AK street coilovers
Witson head unit with reverse camera
8.5x20" ET45 Fox Futura with 225/35/20
8 Led sidelights
Osram headlight bulbs

I have to say your Passat, looks Hot! Was the Altec show n go number plate, special order? Was it expensive?

Altec would not ship to the uk so in the end i found blue oval industries on ebay in the states that would ship to the uk. Cost £150 by the time you add shipping plus the old £20 for customs. Delivery and communication from them was good though.

Really like the number plate idea, how much does that cost, and do you have to cut the grille or is it a complete new unit?

It's universal and only 4 screws to mount. You dont have to cut the grille only the lower one. I got the all chrome grille from Venom motorsport for £130 so you will not get much change from £300 for the lot.

I might be bucking the trend here, but I'm not keen on the faux carbon mirrors and badge wrap - they look a bit wrong. The badge looks more wrong, but I can't place my finger on why....

The 20s aren't my thing, but they, and the lowering look ok - How would it just have looked, lowered, with 18s?

The front grille looks good, I would have done the lower grille in chrome, but that's just me.

The boot spoiler would have helped and we need to see your ICE - ICE is good

And, tut tut for not having the car fully detailed before taking photos

I would make some other photography comments, but that's not your question here

The only reason i went for 20" wheels was they were free. Only paid for the tyres at £380 for the set so why go for 18's at that money?

Carbon i get offcuts for free, the mirrors are stone chipped and the rear badge has gone like all vw badges with pealing laquer. VW do not sell the badge you have to buy the complete boot lock for £95.

As for ice i have a Ebay special for the time being.

Still to install my JL 6 channel amp and vibe 10" sub. Once they are in i can sort out door speakers.

I did clean it yesturday and took a couple of more pics but i suck at taking photo's.
