Recently had new rear disks and springs fitted.

Since this work was done, there is a tic, tic, tic sound from the left rear.

An MOT advisory was recently issued for "play in rear wheel bearing".

Is it possible that the bearing could be causing this noise?

It doesn't seem to vary a lot with speed, but seems worse at 20 - 40mph - although it can still be heard at 50 or so.

I've also notice that easing on and off the power can make it go away...

My initial thought was the bearing, however it did occur to me that having new springs fitted (and now sitting slightly higher) that it could be a driveshaft?

The car was with my indy today, and he found a worn drop link (now replaced) and was going to replace the wheel bearing but was eveidently sent the wrong one.

My indy also says he can't guarantee replacing the wheel bearing will solve the problem.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Thank you.
