Hope this is the proper place for this.
    I have a 2002 130 tdi estate
108000miles and the handling is a bit on the spongy side, there is also a creaking noise from the back when the car is rocked from side to side. I know it isn't a sports car and don't expect it to handle like one just to make it handle a bit better but still be comfortable.
    Anyone any suggestions.

May not need an upgrade but rather a refresh.

I have a 2001 passat with 92k on the clock and I've just had to replace 3 of the front suspension arms and the two rear axle bushes for its MOT.

Feels like a totally different car to drive.

The suspension components that seem to wear-out are,
    Front Drop-Links
    Front Top Arms
    Front Lower Rear Arms

    Rear shocks
Rear bushes (at high miles, or high pot-hole count!)

BTW a well-sorted Passat can grip like a sports car,
    but without that bone-jarring feel.

    Regards
    Jim
