    Hi,

My car stalled and wouldn't restart.

It's at my local garage and they can't diagnose the problem, does anyone know where I can get the injectors checked out with the true diagnostic codes to see which isn't working. The gararge say the injectors are the piezo injector type but the codes they can read aren't helping and they are struggling to find someone who can check out the injectors.

Some of the similar forum entries talk about a maf problem, what is this?

Many thanks for any help on this.

Take it to a garage that know what they are doing and has VCDS.
    The codes will be.
004160 - Supply voltage A for injectors: Circuit Malfunction
    P1040 - 006 - Short to Plus - Intermittent
008518 - Supply voltage for Fuel Injector Group A: Open Circuit
    P2146 - 009 - Open or Short to Ground

For a failed injector and the engine won't start. It's a simple process to find the dud one.
B6 engines rarely give a faulty injector code. All B6 2.0 td's have piezo injectors. They cost about £500 each plus £200 or so for fitting.
It won't be a failed MAF. That won't stop the engine running.

    Martin, thanks for this.

Does anyone know of a garage in the north west (Blackpool area) that has VCDS and can be recommended?

    Hi Richard

Can I ask how many miles you've done in your car?

Mine has done this at 101k
