Some retard has damaged my D/S door :(

Some T*AT has caused damaged to my D/S door today. Was doing some shopping and noticed the car, and the small ding. Whenever I look at it I feel very depressed and angry

!

I managed to write down the registration of the car, and the make/model of the car. The ding is right on the line just below the wing mirror. I am going to call up my insurance, and see what they say. If they don't agree (I hope not), then is there a good dent puller where I can D.I.Y?

If you're 100% certain the reg plate you took down belongs to the car that caused the damage, ring the police and report it as an accident.

Get a crime number and give that to your insurance company.

The reason I ask I had a simular issue back in 1998. When I returned back to my car there was a brand new 7 series BMW parked very close. Thought nothing off it. He walked away from the car with his family and then I realiesed his rear door had been opened on my front wing. It stood out like a sore thumb

I left him my details and got into a slanging match. Basically he refused to give his insurance details even though I had dark blue paint on my car off his. Phone your insurance company and ask for there help/advise.

It happened right on the spot, I was like a few yards away from my car. As I was placing the trolley back, I turned around towards my car and there I saw the Green Renault Laguna slammed the door towards my D/S door. Within seconds she drove off pretty fast. Luckily I took the reg no!

I'm going to do call them up and hope they come to an agreement!

nevermind agreement.

ring the police, report the driver for leaving the scene of an accident - it's a criminal offense.

then ring your insurance and give them the crime reference. You won't have to pay anything.

I would call your insurance. Also get the police involved/supermarket for the cctv footage just incase they deny all knowledge of being there. Fingers crossed they have paid with a debit/credit card

As Esh says phone the police. All though no was hurt its still classed as hit and run.

Report it to the Police and contact your insurance as others have said.

Maybe a bodyshop job as its on the crease line and will be very difficult for dentmaster to get out.

They may claim a child etc was on that side and they say they didn't cause the damage. Supermarket CCTV maybe your life saver so contact the store.

I always park as far away from the store as I can at the back end of the car park but when you come out and some people carrier, 4X4 or old motor is parked next to you you always fear the worse.
