    Morning Guys,

    I need some help, i have a Mk4 Golf GT Tdi 115BHP 6 Speed, its a 2001 X reg.
Basically have owned the car for about 18 months now, and it has had this problem since i bought it, at the time i thought the clutch was on its way out, symtons are when i am driving in any gear the car seems to drive fine until it goes 2000 Revs, the needle shoots up and then the power kicks in a few seconds later, almost as if the clutch is slipping, but its not as i have had the clutch checked. The diags that i have done so far:
1, Replaced the Air Mass which hardly made any difference at all, although when i leave it unplugged although the car drives crap the revs dont shoot around.
2, Had clutch checked - all ok.
3, Tried another working air mass of a working car and still does the same.
4, On VAG computer - no errors reported...

It seems it is defo something to do with the airmass, but what i have no idea? Any ideas?

That sounds weird. If the needle shoots up (I'm assuming the actual engine revs go up too) then if you're not feeling any difference for a few seconds, then I'd think there is something wrong between the engine and wheels, just thinking about it logically.

Does it happen irrespective of which gear you're in at 2000rpm?
