    Hi,

I have just purchased a 2007 passat sport 170 dsg, I am trying to find out how to remove the centre console - I am trying to get power to headrest dvd and was assuming I can take it from the rear 12v socket?

    Thanks

    Firstly, welcome to the forum!

The problem with taking it from the socket will be that the power will cut out with the ignition ie when you turn the engine off. This has been an issue with other members of the forum.

Your best bet will be to take a supply from the fuse box and fed a wire down the centre console. Simply tuck it up under the plastic and it's out of sight. This means you can also add an extra fuse in the circuit.

Ideally I want the power to cut off when engine is off, as I know my wife and kids will simply leave them running and zip them up.

Do you know how the console is fixed (just the rear part)

    Thanks
