    Hi There,
Can anyone tell me how easy or difficult it is to change the window regulator on an A4 Cabriolet, front drivers window. The window stopped moving half way up and whenever I push the window button to sounds as though something in the door panel is eating a light bulb, munch munch you get the picture! Any help or instructions would be much appreciated!
    Many Thanks

sounds like your glass may have come off its rollers, i would get the door opened and have a look inside before forking out for a new regulator....incidentally, the regulator swapover is quite simple, just unscrew and unclip and put new one in and clip it back up.

Try the windows but give it some help, open the door and clamp glass between hands push down as someone pushes the switch. If it goes then something is jammed or too tight, can happen in the cold. The click is the safety to stop damage to the motor.
