I have the phone prep on the centre console and am wanting to know if the cradle for the iPhone 3 will fit the iPhone 4. I know Audi are notoriously slow at providing new cradles and was hoping that the existing cradle will work. How much would the iPhone 3 cradle cost from Audi?

That's just for the cradle as well Phil- the car will already has the bluetooth connection. The bonus of connection in the arm rest is charging of the phone and boosted phone signal via the shark fin aerial.

I use a dash mounted Nokia universal cradle, this holds the ip4 just fine and use an incase 12v charger for power.

I have the phone prep in the arm rest and bought a cradle from Audi for my iPhone 3G. I checked that my brothers iPhone 4 fit the cradle before making any upgrade decisions. Shortly after I upgraded my phone to the iPhone 4 and found that it fits the cradle ok, although it is a little on the tight side.

However, all seems to work fine

I have just bought a 3 year old A4 Cabriolet. I also have the Iphone 4 and want it integrated. Any idea of the best way to go about this without going to a dealer.

What kits are out there that will work?

I want to be able to use the phone through the car speakers, auto-mute on call, use ipod diretly to select tunes (not one of those packages that limits you to playlists) and I want the iphone to be mounted at eye level so I can use the GPS.

Any links to good kits would be grateful, and an idea of cost.

    Hi All

Just a quick note to say that the Audi phone prep is made by a company called Cullman and they also supply Vauxhall i bought my last phone cradle from Vauxhall and saved £37!!!!!

Also anyone interested in an aftermarket kit I just had an Parrot MKI 9100 installed in my wifes A3 it does what you'd expect and also plays the MP3's from our iPhones .
