    The navigation dvd works fine, but is it possible to play dvd's on the screen, have tried but does not work..?? Have tried with engine off and with keys out.!! is there an update to fix..???

    A6, 2005 Final edition with dvd rom drive behind screen on dash..

    Any ideas/fixes would be much appreciated.! Many Thanks

    There is nothing to fix. The nav unit you have (RNS-E) was never able to play DVD's. It cant be modified either.

    If you want to watch DVD's on that screen then you need to add an external DVD player and media adpater to allow the output from the DVD player to be viewed on the screen.

    Depends what features/equipment you want. I'd guess using cheap/ebay parts etc you could get one working for under £200 ish (parts only, you'd have to install yourself). Isnt worth the effort IMHO as the screen resolution isnt high on the RNS-E nav unit so it'll always look a bit grainy.

    http://www.kufatec.de/shop/ sell everything you need if you still want to spend some cash.
