Emission control warning light flashing

Hi all, have already posted in vagcom forum for help, and being a newbie i can't post in the wanted section, but really need to get the car sorted today.

When the warning light came on the car ( 2004 A4 1.8t avant ) the car went jerky with loss of power. At idle it's still jerky with a kinda misfire sound.

I do not have vagcom (yet ) but looking around it appears to be one of the coil packs.

Don't suppose anyone has a spare in Berkshire that i will gladly collect and pay for.

Coil pack numbers are all the same currently 06B905115L.

iI've had the a4 for about 2 months now leaving my Impreza behind. The A4 is fully loaded with all factory fit options and is such a dream to drive.

I think the RAC carry them.

RAC..will give them a call as i am a member but no home start. Bracknell is just up the road but i can't get the vehicle to you because of the fault.

RAC will be here before 3pm....didn't mention anything about homestart, so glad you mentioned it. Fingers crossed it is just the coil pack and they have one in their van.

All sorted...was coil pack no 2 that failed. RAC had a few as well.

So now to buy some spare coil packs and an OBD scanner to read the fault codes.
