Vagcom 29705 code?

I did a diagnostic check on the car, and this code came up 29705. Any ideas as to what it is? Nothing came up online, when I searched for the code!

Yep! I erased the code, rescanned it again and nothing came up! I will rescan again and see if it comes up. Strange, that code is.

Found a few references to it being an unknown code. If it stays clear on the next scan..........forget about it !!

What did you use to scan the car. As far as I know the highest code number used is 24099. Unless anyone knows different.

I borrowed it off a friend! The scanner is called VW/Audi.

That explains it. Those handheld obd code readers are rubbish. They regularly pick up nonsense codes or give the wrong codes. If in doubt, use VCDS.

Yes, I recognise thar little orange number. I had one as well and it kept giving me strange codes that weren't it the code book that came with the scanner.

I bought a VAG reader from Ross Tech and the codes I got from it were to do with the electronic hand brake as it kept failing when I put it on.

Maybe your hand brake has failed to come on at some point....?

When I have the time and a garage then I will buy these equipments.

Possibly, although I did notice a new E-brake switch!
