    Hi all,
    I have a problem with my partners Polo tdi 1.4s (01 on a 51 plate).
    The symptoms are;
    1 Sat in the drivers seat the button to open and close the drivers window does nothing.
    2 Sat in the drivers seat the button to open and close the passenger window only moves the window down whether I push the button down or up.
    3 If I am sat in the passenger seat the passenger window button works fine.
    4 If the car is unlocked from the drivers side only the drivers door unlocks (I believe both doors are supposed to unlock).

    I suspect a faulty convenience / courtesy unit. Can anyone tell me where this unit is located ?
    ps I have reseated the connection on the switches in the driver door panel.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pasc.

    The electric windows don't work through the convenience unit. They have their own control units attached to the motors. I'd check the wiring between the vehicle body and the drivers door. The wires often break inside the rubber tubing.

    Regards - Jim.

    Thanks for the reply Jim. I'll check over the wiring.
