    Hi all,

I want to change the engine coolant of my golf 1.9tdi sport '05. I was told that if I unplug the radiator at the bottom I should drain the car completely. But after some research I found that there is some blender for the engine ... Can someone please help me out by confirming and pin pointing where this blender is.

Also does anyone know how much coolant does my engine take, (in terms of litres)?

    Thanks a lot, guys.

by taking the bottom hose off yes you will drain the rad but the block will still have some left in it, your car holds 8 lts of coolant in total mate

no the fluid seems good, i just want to clean so i get it spik and span from the inside hehe

What if I run the engine with the hose off and keep adding water to the tank fill up will that clear the system?

you could but i wouldnt reccomend it, best off to drain out what you can and then add fresh coolant, it will be fine mate
