welcome to the forum. now, it depends which engine you have, so it would help if you could find the engine code. basically though, you need to remove the crank pulley, then the toothed pulley behind it, pull the seal out, put new one in, then rebuild it. you will need to fit a new cambelt. i presume your engine is a 5 cylinder though, as the crank seal leaking is a fairly routine job.

thanks for your reply mate, much appreicated indeed...just got wife's computer back after cooking it..erm, oops!!! (looking for parts for the "shed").
The darn thing wont start at the minute...he was fine on the first of this month, the on the 2nd, he wouldnt fire up at all..engine turns over nice, but, nowt happens!! could this just be the glow plugs? or could it be more serious? The previous owner had a new diesel pump fitted (which does look pretty clean to be fair) but wife is having a fit cos i've spent loads having it repaired etc.. (new gearbox innards- twice- as the (ahem) "specialist" missed a damaged cog the first time round!!)
