Anyone know if the r line gets lowered suspension?

No prob the answer is nope sorry you'd have to buy a sport for that

Not as far as I know, no mention of sports suspension on the web or in the brochure. The Highline also gets the chrome detail around the windows too.

If you buy an R, it will become the one that nobody wants, go Highline and have the nicer features and looks.

Highline is an SE with leather seats and 17 inch alloys btw.

SE is before highline if you look at it in terms of spec... basically it's S/R LINE/SE/HIGHLINE/R36 sorted

Thanks DSG that what I've been sayin all along...if you really want an R line do what I'm doing (not that I wanted an R line) buy an S model then stick on some 17" Monte Carlos/RS6s and there you go you have an r line for less than 1/2 the price

The R line is a dissapointment imho...But have VAG done the same with the golf as there is an r line in that range too

You can fit the body styling kit to the Highline for £700 if specified when new so you get all the highline extra's and the R-Line's sportier looks.

I've seen a few nearly new ones about, maybe worth the thread starter looking around.

Also don't rule out buying new. I was looking for a 2009 car but there are some great deals about on new Passat's at the moment due to the facelift being just around the corner. Dealers will offer a fair discount and VW offer 0% finance and 3 years free servicing.

    Cheers

Is that body kit compatible with the SE's? seen a light blue R line everyday and it looks bigger and wider cuz of the kit.

Oh dont forget you get 'R' badges too lol

But really it all depends on the price difference of the two..

You can get the body kit for any passat mate save for the R36 (It's a sport body kit renamed)

The body kit will fit any saloon/estate (Excluding R36) and there is a choice of styles.

But although it's a £700 factory option on a new Highline once the car has left the production line it decomes a dealer fit option and works out over £2000 fitted and painted.
