A few Q's about the radio.

Just acquired Passat B6 S, first reg June 2008.

No info Re. the radio supplied, I believe it should be section 3.4

It is the original double DIN, marked MP3 next to the CD slot.

I have contacted Cust. service, but they could only supply a PDF version of a

much later model RCD 310.

Is there any way I could obtain any info. on the original radio?

Also, I am unsure if there is an external 3.5mm jack socket to connect an ordinary MP3 player, vehicle handbook is very vague, so far I have not located it....?

If no external socket, what are the easy and least expensive alternatives?

this has been asked many a time look at my thread and you'll find the solution. Basically you don't have a connection connects 2 do a kit for diff rcd models. look on their website and then once you have the model number go on ebay for a bargain deal

welcome to passat ownership.
I dont think the 2008 passats came with an aux in as standard equip so you prob dont have one.
As esse was saying connect2 sell an after market one and you can pick them up on ebay for about £30.

Thanks again, I have identified the radio as RCD 300 MP3 version.

And of course lots of sellers with the adaptor Connects 2 CTVVGX004
