    Hi

    I have a passat 2001, tdi sport 130.

Personally I find the seats very uncomfortable, it's done high miles but
they're not the must supportive seats anyway.

I've been looking on ebay, I've seen a few interiors go for about £300, either full leather of half leather/suede.

Has anyone got any of these interiors, are the seats much better than the standard cloth seats? Don't want to splash out on them only to find that they are just as uncomfortable as the standard seats.

Can I get seats out of another car, e.g bora or another manufacturer eg Skoda superb seats. I drove my mate's superb
the other day, found the leather seats marginally better but too slippery. Compared to say, a vx omega I have been in.

I only really need the front seats, but it would just look better to have the whole interior.

I assume only passat seats/interior up to 2005 will fit mine?

    Thanks

    Jon

I have a 2001 130bhp SE model and find the seats great I'm not sure if its the same spec car as yours though. I have a mate in work who has an 04 version but its an irish spec and finds the seats quite uncomfortable. His are a hard fabric type similiar to what I've seen in a standard SDI spec golf wheras mine are very soft fabric and quite cushiony.

Best bet imo if you don't want to spend money on the car is to get some out of a crashed model just find a spec you like.

Sounds like I have the same as you're mate.

They are very flat and hard, I have seen some on ebay, presumably what you have that look softer and more cushioned.

The seats on a passat "Sport" are a different shape
to those on the "S" "SE" or "Highline". They are all
    interchangeable.

If yours has air-bags, then the replacements must
    have them too.

Skoda Superb seats seem to be "Sport" type, the
fronts will fit but the rear backrests may be a problem.

If you can get the seats out-of a W8......... you will
want to live in your car!!!

    Regards
    Jim

    Thanks for that info Jim.

I'll probably hold out for a highline/4motiion interior.

Should finish the car off nicely.
