I have a b7 2.0T s-line with 18" wheels. I'm not sure what the offset is (maybe ET43?) but tyres on them are 235x40x18. The offset on the 19" RS4 wheels is ET29.

What issues would i have in fitting oem 19" RS6 or RS4 wheels? Has anyone carried this out before?

    many thanks for your

Yes s-line wheels are offset of ET43/ET45

The RS4 wheels with ET29 will stick out further I think as the RS4 has wider wheel arches.

Thanks for this, so unless I make some bodywork mods this option is a no-no by the looks of it.

So could anyone tell me what dimensions and offset would be right for a 19" wheel for my s-line?

    Morning,

I've seen plenty of A4 Sline's with 19" on them so it can be done, the RS4/RS6 both have flaired arches so I don't think the OEM 19" RS alloys will fit.
My advise would be to get a set of replica 19" alloy's from wheel base or other on the internet, you can pick up a set of RS4 replicas on there for £600 with cheapish tyres.

A word of warning though I have also heard that 19" rims on the Sline make it a very harsh ride, but on the other side of the coin look the nut's.

All the best with your hunt and post some pic's if you do fit 19's.

    Mark.

Maybe look for Darich on here he is 19's on his A4, but I think his is an SE with lowered springs so slightly different set up.

    Hi

My car is a Tfsi Quattro SLine SE with standard suspension* set up. I bought 19" replicas from a bloke on ebay and they slotted straight on.
No protruding from wheel arches and no rubbing with 235x35x19 tyres even on full lock.

I'll have a look tonight and see what the inside of the rim says - I think the offset is inside the rim.

*I've not changed it all from when I bought the car but have no reason to think it's been altered. Ride is not too harsh (in my opinion) but then my previous car was a BMW Z4 3.0SSE with run flat tyres so I've experienced a fairly stiff ride. In fact my grandparents (89 and 87) even commented on how lovely and comfortable the car was. Harsher than some cars, yes, but not so bad it's uncomfortable - even for grandparents aged almost 90!!!

Guys, thanks for advice. I'm keen to fill the arches a little more with width, not just diameter, so it may be I go the spacer route myself too, just to push the wheels out a little.

The silver avant on this thread is what i'd like to achieve:

although not necessarily with the same wheels, although they do look nice!
