    Hi -

New to the forum and would like to stay after today's test drive experience in the above car . . . Admitedly it was the latest incarnation of this model, I'd be looking to go for the 2007 model for my budget.

I've been thrashing a 330d Sport Touring for the last 3 years and cannot fault it (apart from tyre munching) . . I've also tested both BMW 530d & 535d Sport Tourings which were good but this car (with it's classic looks and far superior interior and interface) felt like an altogether more grown up experience.

What do I need to look out for with this vehicle / Options / problems etc etc. Going for an autobox and the full nav etc -

Your comments would be most appreciated - thanks Belch

The autobox on a Quattro diesel will be the tiptronic and should be reliable. The smaller engines have the Multitronic and I keep seeing reports that the early versions of them can be expensively problematic.

I have a 57 plated avant 3.0tdi quattro (not the Leman) and absolutely love it despite tending to be a BMW man in the past. As you say more grown up and better kit. It certainly shifts when needed and is rock steady with it. No issues yet but I've only had it about six weeks. Get one you won't regret it.
