Good to see the brokers passing it on too.

Carfile 10.5% discount and then the extra £350.

Shows how much the dealers make from those that won't bargain !!

I'd like to know the average waiting list time now?

Has it really reduced enough to enable to make special offers, only for the customer to walk away because deliver take 4+ months?

I ordered my 2.0Tdi GT on the 19th June and it's down as build week 38 so yes, it will be about 14 weeks at the moment until delivery.

I managed to get a dealer to match the price of a Golf Match with the drivethedeal broker back in June. Car is due in in the next few days. Now, Drivethedeal have lowered the price to incorporate the £350. Do you think I should try to re-negotiate or will this breakdown the so far good relationship. I don't mind paying (I think) the agreed price as I really had to push the dealer to initially get this and the VW £350 offer on the VW Website does state that its for cars ordered during August and September.

Anyone else in this situation at the moment?

You could ask but i bet they say no.

If you want the new price then place a new order with them/drivethedeal now and wait another 14 weeks. VW protected customers from price rises last year, and also to a certain extent the vat rise from 15 to 17.5%. I doubt they willprotect you from price drops. The list price is the same, its just an offeer thats available for new orders now.
