My 2005 A4 has got rear parking sensors with the visual display above the rear window. When I put it in reverse, i get 3 beeps and 1 red light for about 3 seconds and then the display returns to normal. They seem to still work when I back up close to things, plus they all to click when i put my ear towards them. Is this a fault. Anyone had this problem?

    Thanks

    Dan

Thanks. By clicking noise I meant if you put the car in reverse and listen to each of the sensors, usually if the make a faint clicking sound it means they are working. If one doesn't click, it shows it is a duff sensor.

They still seem to work ok, so I'll keep an eye on them.

    Thanks

    Hi all.

When put my car (2005 1.9 115bhp) into reverse, there is a continuous beep and then nothing. No beep as i get closer to a wall, etc.

It used to work some times before, but has totally stopped working for me now.

Any idea what this could be? Sensor? module?

The long beep is to tell you theres a fault.
Scan the car for fault codes.
