    Have a 2002 130 Sport Estate.
There seem to be a water leak when the rear washer is operated, such that
water is squited over the rear near side light cluster. If you feel down below the light cluster (abour 6"") you can feel pools of water, (can be moped up with a sponge).
There is a junction in the rear washer tubing just to the rear of the light cluster, but this seems to be in tact. Not sure where the water could be coming from. Has any one else had a similar problem?

Thanks for the info Sam, but neither thread seems to answer the problem I have. My problem only occures as a result of operating the rear washer and it would only apply to an estate. Many thanks anyway for relying, much appreciated.

    Hello Eddy,
I had the same problem with my 2001 SE Estate. It is a fairly common fault with VW Estates - Golfs as well as Passats. Apparently, and certainly in my case, the pipe fractures near to where it exits to the wiper arm. If not sorted fairly quickly, this then leads to the wiper brackets (inside the rear door), and then the lock actuator and wiring, corroding. This can then cause problems with the alarm faulting and going off for no apparent reason. Fortunately, when this happened to my Passat, it was still under warranty, and was covered.
    Hope this might help.
    Cheers, Trev

Thanks Trev. Will remember all the things you mentioned.
In my case it seems that the water feed tube to the rear wiper passes near to the LH near side light cluster (thinish black tube). If you feel along this tube you will feel a "snap joint". I think this had sprung apart at sometime (due to the water to the rear wiper freezing), someone had snapped it back together , but not fully. A gentle squeeze (you hear it click), solved the problem.
