audi 80 wiring prob

when i start the car sometimes it cuts out ...then the engine will not turn over..the warning lights come on ...the glowplug light stays on very dull...but no matter how many times i turn the key there is no response at all...if i take the keys out and lock the car then open it again...then try starting,it is ok ..but then sometimes it cuts out again..please give me some advice as im desperate...going on hols in few weeks

sounds like you have an eath fault possibly. try checking all your earths on your battery are tight and also to the body..... what car / engine is it?

ty for your advice tut ...the engine is the 1.9 tdi 90bhp...ive got a auto sparky to come and have a look tonight so fingers crossed he will sus it thx again tut....best regards gaz
