Hi all

Changing my all shortly. Have always used Mobil 1 ESP 5W30. Noticed in ASDA today that they stock 5L jugs at £32.00. Bargain, grab yourself some quick.

They've had it at this price for some considerable time now . There's been numerous posts about it .

Today VW was £38, asda mobil1 ESP still at £32 so got some. It does need a double take on the small print on the can though, ie.
"Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30 is recommended for all types of modern automobile engines, especially the high-performance gasoline and diesel engines found in the latest passenger cars" Thats `all`, not some!
Then it goes on to say that although it recommends it for `all` it isn't necessarily approved for `all..` So it continues..
"Approved 504.00 507.00. ..recommended for applications requiring*(502 00 / 503 00 / 503 01/505 01/ 505 00 / 506 00 / 506 01(* All VW engines with the exception of Unit-Injector / Pump-Duse TDI without Longlife Service and without DPF between 1999-2003 and R5/V10-TDi before model year 2006" Their asterisks not mine.
Anyway, says 507 so good enough, in it goes!
