Hey everyone, i've had this problem for a while. My 04 A3 2.0 tdi loses power whenever i try to accelerate while travelling at a high speed. For example if im on the motorway doing 70mph and accelerate to overtake someone I will lose power. From then on it will only accelerate very slowly or if im on a hill i'll start slowing down. Turning the car off and on fixes the problem but I have no idea whats causing it.

I tried replacing the MAF last night but this did not fix the problem. So i'm just wondering if anyone else out there has had this problem and managed to fix it.

    Thanks

Sounds like turbo vanes seized but could be many causes . Best get a VAG diagnosis code read to start of on the right track. You could try a search on this forum for "Turbo overboost" or "Limp home mode".
