    As above,

It made me wonder, is it possible to get some kind of a student discount in economy class? Airlines, Emirates, Qatar, Gulf Air, Etihad!
For Sale: VW Passat 2.0 TDI Sport

If you go for a standby ticket you can usually get a discount, but at the risk of not being able to fly if everyone turns up for their flight (and as the flights are overbooked, this is a high risk). Other than that, you're looking for being related to an in flight attendent who didn't go on strike :-)

It depends on the airline and your job! (or if you are freindly with someone in the tourist ie aircraft orientated industry).

I do work in that sphere and we get three free flights a year (anywhere that we fly too, which is a lot!) for my wife and myself, also my immeadiate family can fly for 50%. And you can go standby with any person (unlimited) Free.

BUT!!, Even though it sounds good there is no insurance on your travel and you can get dumped as a lower priority.

Best is get freindly with an Air Hostess (Obviously Not BA!) and you will be able to travel free on standby. Pick a minger though or you will end up with a worn-out bicycle.
