    Need some help guys.

    Negotiating on 2 cars.

Both are 59 plate, one is registered in September, the other in December 2009.

Both Grey: Dec 09 is Quartz, Sept 09 is Meteor.

    Similar mileage.

Sept 09 car is coming out at just £33 cheaper than the Dec 09 over the 3yr finance deal.

Silly question maybe, but which should I go for?

I like the Meteor's colour (not seen that colour in person yet though it appeals more than the quartz) but I think it's silly to consider that as the Quartz should be my choice since it's got about 2-3 months more warranty.

Meteor dealer is nice and I wonder if the relationship would be better than the Quartz dealer I've been negotiating with.

    No contest? Me being silly?

Mileage and spec would be useful, colour is a personal choice of course. I would not let the registration date sway me, it is merely a couple of months on the same plate. Make a list of for's and against's for each car and then decide. Great car of course whichever you pick

    Thanks Niko.

Both less than 15K miles, same spec.

    Decisions, decisions!

Advice would be to inspect them both very closely to see if one looks to have been better looked after than the other. For example, kerb damage on alloys, chips on bonnet or door edges, any non-standard parts fitted (eg towbar) etc...

    Hope that this helps.

It comes down to the three governing factors of any car once we decide on the model / engine.

    Spec
    Colour
    Price

Being different beasts we all factor these in different orders.

I am not sure myself, but colour, spec, price seems to work for me.

Although I did decide on budget first, so I guess price, colour, spec.

Mind you it had to be Lava, ao maybe colour, price, spec.

Then again..... I went new route as I could not find the spec I wanted. Spec, colour, price.

I give up...........what ever it is I am sure you will be happy..........have you considered Lava?????

    I'll get my coat..............

    ^^^ pitch you rascal!
I did consider Lava but the dealer didna play ball. No deal there.
Have to choose one tomorrow (or rather, today).
For me price, spec and colour. Same spec and price just different colours. And different reg dates. And different warranty expiry..
    And....

Why not go with your Gut Feeling! and if you do choose the Sept car then you should be able to still opt for extended AUDI warranty, peace of mind.

Are extended warranties available for used Audis? I thought you could only get an extended manufacturer's warranty when you buy new.

Assumed insurance based warranties (eg Warranty Direct) were all you had for used cars.

That could be a bargaining tool I hope!
