Whilst looking at the used car locator on the Audi website I noticed these cars and one of them seemed a lot lower than the other.
Now, is this an illusion, the difference of 10mm, angle of phots or all of the above and more?

Sorry about the quality of the pics...!

    What do you think?

Difficult to tell. Camera angle a bit different.

    Hmm.... illusion, my final answer!

The camera angle on the second photo is a lot lower, which means you see less of the roof, which is making it look lower.

I too have spent too long trying to work out what's different. I think that two photos of the cars from the side are required both at the same scale etc...

I think they are the same.

The reason it looks lower is due to the steering lock on the second photo is greater than the first, therefore pushing more of the wheel out of the arch to give the effect of it looking lower..

Other option.. call the dealer and ask them to measure the top of tyre to arch!

    Cheers

    Rick

The steering lock is definetly a factor, but the second car is lower.
Both photos have a wider than normal format making the look lower anyway. Look at the specifications (if the website allows you), the wheels and tyre combo are almost certainly the same, but I would not be surprised if the lower car had 19" wheels fitted retrospectively to the s line -30mm suspension, BUT THEN THE DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SELL IT OFFICIALLY. My head is hurting!

Maybe they have Five fat receptionists in the second car hiding themselves!

    LMFAO Bratty!

The Audi selling spec is shocking to say the least. One of them has 18" on one line then 19's the other...

Maybe I should post the links...?

    Two seconds then.

The Pics I have of my car with both combos 18 and 19 will show that the difference is almost imperceivable, theoretically the difference is 8mm in the overall diameter, hence going for 19´s, its so ******* subtle BUT looks the biz. ie The Difference between the Sports -20mm suspension and the S line -30mm is about 10mm which MIGHT just account for the extra GIRTH of the 19 combo. Your choice, work it out yourself.
