find the handbrake cable?

I have just brought an after market double din unit for my 2000 vw bora. It has a safety feature where you have to clamp a cable around the handbrake sensor cable so you cant watch any dvds etc whilst driving, does anyone know where to find the handbrake sensor cable (preferably an easily accessible place). I tried not connecting the cable but then it just presumes your driving all the time.

Or alternatively a different cable, would the remote cable that runs from my head unit to my amp do the same job?

Have you guys tried just grounding the cable?

But remember watching DVD's whilst driving is naughty.
