i think what i should have typed was we dont sit down to have tea breaks at a set time, there is nothing to stop me having a cuppa and drinking it on the go all day, apart from the amount of loo stops id need lol

Have to agree, I dont stop for teabreaks only 30 mins for lunch but 90% of the time I enjoy what I do.

Great news - if you are happy in your work it makes all the difference.

I've had a few staff transferred over to my site over the years, usually as a result of a discipline (I've got a bit of a reputation for managing people properly), and at least three I can think of came with the words 'virtually unmanageable' in the notes. One of them got promoted recently, and all of them are valuable members of my team.

Its much easier to respect people, support them, and let them work on their own initiatives, and don't pull the "I'm the big boss" card unless its absolutely needed - working like this, I find that my team almost self-manages, and they know when I do have to dish out a bollocking, its merited.

Hope you go from strength to strength
