    Yes thats right. Shell have just launched a new fuel its called fuelsave and claims to save 1 litre.

    Anything that saves you money cant be a bad thing

    That's what they say but how much does it cost perlitre most likely going to be more expensive than norm

    No the same as there normal diesel and petrol. it states "save upto 1 litre of fuel per tank at no extra cost" It replaces there standard diesel and petrol from today.

    Erm, how big a tank are we talking about?
    Passat Estate GT 16 190/295 DSG Sand Gold/Espresso, Premium LEDs, Area View, DA Pack Plus, Park Assist, XDS, Boot divider, Olive Ash.
    TDI history, all saloons: CC 59 140/236 GT, Passat 06 140/236 Sport, A6 SE 2000 110/173, A4 SE 1995 90/149, 80 1992 90/134, plus SWMBO's 2000 A3 SE 90/155 hatch.

    Click on the shell website to work out your saving per year. According to there website I will save 23 litres per year. The saving of 1 litre is based on filling up with 50 litres of fuel.

    2% eh? That's near as dammit an extra 1mpg for me. I'll run low, fill up and see what the MFD shows up with.

    Drop some millers in and you will be up to 3 to 5 mpg more

    I have noticed that in my passat using millers it gives me an extra 2-3mpg. Just need to add the new diesel now and compare.

    I will compare MFD readings in a few weeks when the car is running purely on the new fuel to give a true reading.
