Audi Computer Upgrade

Is any one experiencing delays due to the Audi computer system upgrade?

If so what have you been told and do you believe it?

I wasa told there would be no real delay as cars where still moving thru the system just that dealers aint got a clue where they are currently as system is in shutdown.

Forgive me as I do not know the answer to this - but if they were doing a complete shutdown which led to cars not being produced would they not do it during the Summer Factory shutdown hols (if this still happens and when it happens?)

For mee there has been at leas a week delay - who knows it could me more?
My car was at port on the 5th July and will get to the Dealership on the 30th. Some of that has to be down to the "shutdown", no?

My car was delivered to the dealer on 15th July. They said they couldn't generate the registration until the system came back up yesterday (22nd). Heard nothing from them (surprised? - NO!). Called them at 17:15 and they said they have a backlog and the system was down again.

Also my contact is on holiday today. When they have a backlog??? Unreal. (Mental note to self - get a easy job at Audi dealer).

Will wait to see if they call today.

It is so frustrating... I hope that the new system helps future buyers though...
That is the only positive I can think of at the moment.
