I know rick t had some impressive figures about a journey he did but i could not locate them. maybe he could re post.

Last week i did coventry to penzance in 4hrs dead. Set out at 9.10am on a sunday. No stopping

The return journey Penzance to Coventry 3hrs 49 mins. set out at 9am on a thursday. Avg speed 75mph, avg mpg 39ish mpg. No stopping

    Roads used A45, M42, M5, A30.

On the return leg, i hooked up with a passat who obviously knew the road and the locations to slow down. on the M5 i hooked up with a merc.

The car went soooo well it was absoloutly brill

Left Devon at about 4am one morning. M5/M4/M25/M2 - stopped for a bit while I got a ferry, then various E roads all the way to Prague. Driving time was about 14 hours to do just shy of 1000 miles.

Average speed on some sections of autobahn was 3 figures consistently, and there were about 6 of us all in convoy.
Jason - Rather mad Skoda Fabia driver.... Odd whiff of diesel coming from him.
