    Masses of Cumulonimbus cloud here in the Thames Valley right now, was scorchio a bit earlier. Looks set for a storm!

    Can I just remind you of you taking the 'swear', suggesting there's no sun oop north?
    It's slightly hazy but incredibly bright & about 30degrees where I am right now!

    Just had a quick look at the Isle of Wight site and they are showing a lot of activity oop North.

    As at 17.12.

    Just got the emails through regarding the above, so I've fired up the IOW web site! Wow - it's all kicking off close by, but so far I've neither seen nor heard anything (Just West of Hull). Certainly not a good night to be wearing copper Y Fronts! A few strikes towards the East coast, and certainly Lincolnshire, but the wind appears to be blowing from the NE at the moment, so we'll see.

    We have a massive storm overhead here in Maidenhead Berks right now.

    The Storm radars are NOT picking them up !

    been mental here, looks like it at newport staffs, been too damn hot today then clouded over at work in stafford, was home about half 5 then it tipped down and the lightning started about 8 ish through till 9 ish, my road turned into a river, the severn will be well up by wednesday and the banks at ironbridge will be falling in again

    I've noticed that before,also. In the past we've had storms very close and have seen strikes, but they never showed up on the website's screen? Looks manic at the moment though.
