i want to change my brake fluid,it specifies in the service schedule to use genuine vw fluid only, has anyone any further advice on this?
surely if the old fluid is removed first and good quality stuff put back in there wont be an issue?

dot 4 or 5.1 should be ok.

Don't use dot 5 though it is different and will cause brake failure.

Also, do your homework on this before you start as the bleeding process can be problematical in that you wont easily get a hard pedal back unless you do it exactly right.
