    Our vw mk iv golf door is not fitting flush into the door frame.Does anyone know how to adjust the door

    if its anything like the corrado, there are two adjustment points - one the door lock pin which iirc is a 15mm head. Just loosen this and slide inwards a few mm and tighten up. The other, which tbh wont really give you much movement is the door hinges themselves, which are also 15mm, but need a socket. Loosen slightly, reposition teh door and tighten well. Ideally you need two people for this. HTH

    The official quote on this is;

    Adjusting door

    To ensure a correct door adjustment the door hinge must be loosened on the pillar. Other measures, such as raising the door, have no effect. Subsequent pressure from above will cause the door to sack again.

    The door alignment tool -3320- with bit -3320/2- is to be used for this

    If it is necessary to loosen the upper door hinge on the A-pillar from the inside, socket driver -3410- can be used. To do this, remove dash panel.
