I'd be interested in this also, have 2 damaged alloys.
Was wondering if I can go from 16" to 17" alloys with no other changes? (except the tyres obviously!)

Are they too badly damaged to be refurbed? May be cheaper

Spooky, going from 16" to 17" wheels will give your speedometer a 4.1% error - showing 60 would be a true 62.5 mph. I guess you's have to plug one of those thingies into the whatchamacallit to re-jigify where the speedo pointer sits at whatever speed you are really going.

    (pardon the technical jargon)

depends on the profile of tyre used. The 17s should run a lower profile so as to give the same rolling radius or that is how it should be done
