    Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

    Hi guys,
I have a 2006 A6 2,0tdi estate. The central brake light has decided to call it a day / needs new bulbs. The manual tells me how to replace every bulb except that one. Before the dash warning "ping" drives me mad, does anyone know how to access this fitting. Is it a complete replacement unit or replace bulbs. Cant even see a way of accessing the unit.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Failing that, what wires do I cut to turn off that bloody "ping"??

    Thanks,
    Arderra.

It is an LED unit and is replaceable as a whole unit.

I need your email address to send you the details of how to remove the trim and release the unit. put a couple of spaces in the email address to avoid phishing.

When you access the unit test to made sure you have 12V getting to the unit when the brake is pressed as this could be a broken wire in the hinge cable harness. Regards Peter
