I am still having "ooh I have a lovely new car" moments on a daily basis, I've got an Audi A4 Cabriolet and am loving it lots.

I was in Manchester earlier today and went to Tesco to fill up, and when I presented my fuel genie card to pay, the bloke looked out of the window to check my registration number and said "Ooh I'd love a company car like that!". His face when I said "I know, and I don't even have a job!" was an absolute picture.

    - to clarify, my other half (husband to be a week Saturday as it happens) has his own business, but he doesn't drive, he only has a bike licence, so he bought me the Audi and the company pay for the car and fuel for me. I've just quit my stressful teaching job and have become a kept woman, which is nice.

I already get odd looks when I'm out and about as I'm heavily tattooed and pierced and have dreadlocks - not the sort of woman you expect to get out of my car. Makes me chuckle lots!

^^ Quality -- Cant beat the stereotype shocks!! Looks can be deceiving and its a shame people look at each other in different ways and judge....but...thats life and if it did not happen it would be boring!!

I get a lot of people looking at me in my motor, more so from lads around the same age....

    Rick

I get a look from about 50% of drivers, I hope it means they will pay more attention driving when im about!

It also attracts attention from bikers in a good way, but in a very bad way with large portion of the BMW brand drivers!

Still, every time i get in it, it puts a smile on my face. Fantastic car!

I have had some amazing stereotype moments.

The best was when I went to my son's parents' evening at his primary school and the head teacher approached me and asked if I'd be interested in their adult numeracy and literacy classes. At first I thought she was asking me to help, but I soon realised she was asking me if I needed help to improve my skills (tattooed single mum in a council house at the time).

When I slowly and clearly explained that I had a degree and was a qualified secondary school teacher, specialising in English and English Literature, her face was an absolute picture.
