I have an intermitant fault with my audi s3 2000

Firstly on some journeys the esp light comes on you don;t have to drive it hard or careful it just comes on for no reaon now and again, if you turn it off and on again it goes back to normal. When this happens it loses power also

The car has been showing 60 on temp gauge and the fans always on recently it seems to have run normal but this problem also comes back every so oftern

If anyone could help i would really apricate it.

    Thanks

    Alex

My car (sister to yours) started doing that last year and it got worse and worse, really jerky,no power. It was the MAF sensor. These go wrong all the time in all cars. You can check by disconnecting the sensor connector and then driving it to see if the problem goes, but as the problem is intemmitant it may take a while to check. Best bet is to get someone with a vag-com to plug in and tell you what's wrong - this will also tell you what's wrong with your gauge (possible the temp collant sensor - mine's just gone)
