The engine management light came on yesterday morning after I started my car A4 Avant 2.0 TDI 170 quatrro S-line Special Edition.

I plugged in my Celtic Tuning eMotion unit to check if any DTC fault codes were present. It showed up a single fault code of 8194.

The ECU has been remapped (FastRoad 207bhp) using the aforemention Celtic Tuning unit.

Does anyone out there know what DTC 8194 means?

It is not a VAG, HEX or a P code so it is meaningless to me, it must be a machine specific code and would need converting into hex, VAG or P

    Thanks for the response.

Do you mean HEX as in hexadecimal?
If you do then 8194 is 2002 in hex, if not then please pardon my ignorance!

Yes but a hex code of 2002 does not come up either, for example VAG code 17965 would be 462D. I imagine 8194 is a code specific to your code reader and I don’t know what it is, sorry.

The 8194 code is to do with a blocked DPF as confirmed by the dealer this morning

The code is also mentioned by patrickhorton in the Cleaning a blocked DPF thread.

I found it by searching for 008194 rather than 8194.

That is a good code, I tried it as 08194 but I never thought to try 008194.

Other codes that also showed up were 001137 and 009299.
You wouldn't happen to know their meaning would you?
