Hi, I cleaned the throttle body on my girlfriends 98 polo 1.0 a few years back and had the same prob with the hi tickover, turned out to be the coolant temp sensor at fault, why the hi tickover prob started when I cleaned the body I never found out, when I replaced the sensor the problem was instantly 95 % sorted then over a couple of days everything returned to normal.

The clue is in your measuring blocks 098 screen, zone 4 says “part throttle”. In Measuring Blocks 001, there is an eight digit value displayed. With the ignition on and the engine not running, what is the value displayed there?
