Urgent help required please!!!

Hi all i have just had a local garage fit h&r lowering spring to my 2007 a3 s line tdi they are the 45mm drop springs and it now drives terrible it feels like the back end is swaying around when turning. Can any body help ??? Please please.

possible geomentry issue with altering the ride height, and removing/refitting the suspension. ask the garage if they checked the geomentry, I mean all camber angles as well as front and rear tracking.

thanks mate that's what the garage said that i may need to get 4 wheel alignment carried out . think that will be my next move.

Lowering it should not affect its alignment that adversely, I have often failed to even measure a change on the rear. Mind you it depends on how they got the springs out and in, I use a special compressor that goes straight in and plucks the spring out without disconnecting anything other than the lower damper bolt but if they dropped the lower arm inner mount then they may have messed up the alignment.

cheers guys, had a 4 wheel alignment carried out by audi specialist i found nearby. turns out the chimp who did the original spring change for me dismantled just about everything possible to do with the suspension and the car was a mile out, also he over tightened the rear camber bolts and tore the thread off them.
as you can imagine i'm over the moon. good job i never paid him.

What a muppet, it takes 15 minutes per side with a proper spring compressor and no touching camber bolts.
