    Hi
Wife wants to replace her trusty 2001 plate B5.5 passat tdi130 with something shinier - probably similar powered late B7 /early B8 manual diesel A4.
Had the Passat for a good while so know some of the common issues (flooded plenum/pollen filter/CCM, front suspension arms, inj wiring loom, MAF) – do same problem effect A4 ? (assume inj loom would only affect PD engines in B7 as I think all B8 are CR - correct ? ).
Also searched on here and main A4 issues seem to be piezo injectors (170ps only?) , particulate filter and oil pump drive (early b7 BRE code only? ). Is there an easy way telling which cars may be susceptible to inj problem and which ones don’t have DPF (aka TDV ?). Also which ones, if any, have run-flat tyres fitted as standard? Any other issues ?
Apologies if this all covered in a post somewhere - I couldnt find it .
    Thanks
    Trevor
