new A3 Sportback 2.0TDI black edition ordered

Hi there

I'm new to the forum, and wanted everyone's thoughts etc...I've just ordered an A3 Sportback2.0 TDI black edition in White - standard car apart from the Comfort pack added. I ordered this from Edinburgh Audi and they are estimating a 5-6 month wait !!

Anyway, wanted to know

1 If there were any others with a similar waiting time.
2 If there are any issues/common faults to watch for.

Welcome to the forum. Firstly good choice with the Black Ed.
Regarding lead in times, it seems a bit long, I generally follow the A4 B8 site and there is a lot good information on there for delivery times. Mostly they are around 12 weeks. However it can depend on the delears allocation etc.

Leadtimes on Black Edition are longer - I have seen December as the delivery time if you ordered today

Simlar problems with my order (seperate post). I ordered in early April for a mid September delivery and was told yesterday that mine is due for bulld on 6th September now!!

Not a happy camper, I'm seriously thinking of cancelling and doing something different!!!

There seem to be a few brand new cars around the dealers, of course you need to be happy with the specification that is available. I've just put a deposit on a Sportback 2.0TFSI Quattro Black Edition with Sat Nav, Bluetooth etc., more than I need but everything I want :-) I expect to complete the deal a week on Saturday.
